Classroom Procedures and Expectations in Mrs. Mueller's Room 130

Classroom Procedures
Mrs. Mueller
Room 130
By the end of the period, scholars
will be able to complete ten
questions by working
independently and in groups in
order to demonstrate
understanding of classroom
procedures.
Today’s Objective
Tardiness:
Be on Time!
You will be considered late if you are not inside the classroom when the
bell rings (no exceptions).
Once the bell rings, the door will be locked. If you find that it is locked, DO
NOT knock on the door, peer through the window, etc. This behavior
disrupts the learning taking place inside the class and will result in an
automatic lunch detention.
If you’re late, you must first retrieve a tardy pass. You will not be allowed
entry until you return with one.
Place your tardy pass in the
pink bucket
found on the desk when you first
walk in the door.
Begin your bell work immediately. You will not be given additional time to
complete it.
If you’re late (for any reason), you will owe the teacher one minute after
class.
Worksheets will be provided on the
desk located near the door.
Please take a worksheet.
There will not be a worksheet every
day. Please continue to your seat if
there is no worksheet.
Worksheets
Students must walk directly to their
seats, sit down, and begin their bell
work once the bell rings.
There is simply NO TIME for
wandering, chatting, goofing off,
horseplay, etc.
If you have questions about grades,
make-up work, or if you have a grade
check for me to sign, please see me
at lunch in room 130.
56 Minutes Isn’t Much Time!
The warm-up assignment (bell work) will be written
on the board and will be the first assignment we
complete each day.
Bell work will be completed
in your spiral notebook
and will be checked for completion
every Friday
.
Bell work is a timed, graded assignment. For
example, you may be given seven minutes to write a
paragraph, or ten minutes to complete a test-
practice. If you have not finished, you will not be
given additional time to complete this assignment.
Bell Work
The Bell
The bell is used to get your attention.
Students MUST BE quiet and listen to
the teacher after they hear the sound of
the bell.
Students choosing not to follow this
rule will be given a lunch detention. This
is your only warning!
Bathroom Passes
You will receive 4 bathroom passes a quarter.
If you need to use the restroom, simply notify the
teacher, place a bathroom pass in the bucket by the
door, and take our hall pass (located under the light
switch).
Bathroom breaks are limited to five minutes. (If you
take longer, you will owe the teacher one minute
after class).
Only one person may leave at a time.
Unused bathroom passes will be worth 5 points per
pass for a total of 20 extra credit points at the end of
the quarter.
Am I going to be called upon in this
class?

In Mrs. Mueller's Room 130, students are expected to arrive on time, complete bell work promptly, follow classroom procedures, and behave respectfully. Tardiness results in consequences, worksheets are provided daily, and the bell signals attention. Bathroom passes are limited, and students must focus on their tasks during the short class period. Keep distractions to a minimum to make the most of the learning time.
