  3. CLASSROOM RULES

  4. GENERAL RULES AND EXPECTATIONS Phones and all other electronic devices should be turned off and put away during class. ~ Teacher will announce when phones may be used for educational purposes. ~If you have a personal emergency and you need to have your phone out let the teacher know before class starts. Students should be seated and ready to work when the bell rings. No food or drinks in class. Treat the teacher and all others with respect. Follow all school rules/policies in the classroom.

  5. GENERAL RULES AND EXCPECTATIONS Come to class with needed supplies ~ pencil, spiral notebook If you do not bring a pencil, you may borrow one, but must give Mrs. Orsak your I.D.

  6. BEFORE CLASS STARTS Upon entering the room pick up your spiral and any handouts needed for the day. ~all on the table under the tv. Turn in any homework. Check the Missing Work board by the door. ~at least once a week; updated weekly If you were absent pick up any work that you missed. ~absent folder is on the wall by the door. Remove any materials needed from your backpack and place your backpack under your desk Sharpen your pencil. Be in your desk and working on the warm up activity when the bell rings.

  7. DURING CLASS Actively participate in the lesson (taking notes, working on assignments, etc.). Do not interrupt Mrs. Orsak or anyone else who may be speaking. If you have a question raise your hand and wait to be called on. DO NOT JUST BLURT OUT. Use the appropriate voice level!

  8. RESTROOM Try to go before class starts. Raise your hand and get permission to leave the room first. Do not ask to go during notes Only one person at a time 10 minute Rule

  9. END OF CLASS Turn in assignments completed during class. Put spirals up in the correct place. DO NOT LEAVE THEM UNDER YOUR DESK. Be seated and quiet before the bell rings. Mrs. Orsak dismisses you, NOT THE BELL.

  10. HOMEWORK Any assignments not completed in class. Study for quiz/test

  11. BEHAVIOR CONSEQUENCES AND REWARDS

  12. CONSEQUENCES: STRIKE SYSTEM How it works: - Any misbehavior = 1 strike -After 3 strikes = detention -Additional strikes after the 3rdcounts towards another detention - 7 strikes in one week = detention

  13. CONSEQUENCES: STRIKE SYSTEM cont... Automatic strikes: - Talking while the teacher or other speaker is speaking - Being disrespectful towards the teacher or any other adult in the room - Getting up and walking around the room without permission - Off task behavior - Not following direct instructions from the teacher or other adult in the room

  14. REWARDS For every week you go 4 or more days without any strikes you get to pick an item from the prize box. If you are absent for any reason that counts against your chances at the prize box.
