Mrs. Lubin, a math teacher, introduces her classroom procedures and rules on the first day of class. Students are encouraged to decorate name cards, follow classroom routines, and understand the importance of order for a successful learning environment. The rules stress the principles of conduct and consequences for breaking them. The class starts with a silent entry, followed by a focus on listening and following instructions. Tardiness is addressed with procedures for excuses and consequences for repeated lateness.
