It is the spirit which can bear things not simply with resignation, but with blazing hope. It is not the spirit which sits statically enduring in one place, but the spirit which bears things because it knows these things are leading to a goal of glory. 23. WHILE I AM WAITING I can be reminded that God is God and what that means God is preparing me for His blessing

24. So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. 1 P e t e r 1 : 6 7 ( N LT )

25. We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don t need to hope for it. But if we look forward to something we don t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.) R o m a n s 8 : 2 4 2 8 ( N LT )

26. And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God s own will. R o m a n s 8 : 2 4 2 8 ( N LT )
