Skills and Tactics required in Badminton
Backhand Serve The backhand serve is a technique used to start a match. It is performed by flicking the wrist, and a successful backhand serve lands at the front of the service box. It is performed by holding the shuttle with your thumb and finger, and holding the racket in front of your belly. The racket is then pushed forward and the shuttle should travel to the opposite and diagonal service box with a flick of the wrist. The backhand service is used in a game situation in order to outwit your opponent by forcing them to move to the front of the service box. The backhand serve is most effective when combined with an overhead clear on return of the shuttle. https://theonlinepetextbook.wikispaces.com/file/view/backhand_serve.GIF/30266509/backhand_serve.GIF
