provided through an online
platform that provides teachers
with access to:

Ability to build your own sessions
by choosing between the various
warm ups, skills and games.

The online resource will contain
technical videos to support
teaching the skills as well as
videos that can be used during
the lesson to support the children
to learn new skills.

How can we measure
progress in The Racket Pack?

The Racket Pack Awards will enable children to move between
different environments minimising the disruption to their
development by ensuring Coaches/Teachers know what level they are
at.

For easy completion of the awards all the content relates to what is
being delivered in sessions and covers the same five key skills (grips,
movement, serving, underarm & overhead).

The Awards will take the form of four levels and within each level
there will be three stages. This allows for children to feel success early
own through initial quick progression.

Each level is identified by a character and these represent an age
group:
Smash: 5-7 years old (Key Stage 1)
Tink : 7-9 years old (Key Stage 2, Yr 3&4)
Flo: 9 – 11 years old (Key Stage 2, Yr 5&6)

On completion of each stage children will receive a certificate and
once they have completed the whole level they will receive a
character pin badge and certificate welcoming them to the pack.

Teachers/Coaches will have their own assessment chart that can be
used in lessons. Children will be provided with a passport in order to
track their progress.

Can I buy equipment to
deliver The Racket Pack?

We have put together an equipment bag that covers
just the essentials to avoid providing equipment that
schools already have.

The equipment is based on classes of 30 and will
consist of:
Net & posts,
Rackets (21”, 23”, 25” & full size available)
Shuttles,
Fluff balls
Success balls
Giant Shuttles
Get nets (rackets with nets)

There will an option to purchase full equipment
bags as well as individual items and just the

Will there be training
available with The Racket Pack?

We have written training for both teachers and coaches to ensure
that The Racket Pack is being delivered consistently.

Teachers will be able access training via either:
Teacher Training (Practical workshop, 3-4hrs)
Teacher Training + Coach Mentor (In session training with qualified coach)

Coaches (min Level 2) will need to complete an application process
in order to deliver The Racket Pack. If successful they will complete
an online CPD module.

Will there be a competition?

Yes.............

We are currently working on a new competition format along with
a potential mini version of the game.

We will be piloting various competition options over the next 6
months with the aim to launch a Primary competition in
September 17 in line with the School Games.

In the meantime there are festival formats at the end of each
module that will allow for inter and intra competition.
