TRANSITION AVASLP is transitioning to a virtual platform and web-based model. https://avaslp.org/ All future correspondences including conference and training announcements will be communicated independent of the VA listserv. All VA/Defense Healthcare Agency (DHA) members will be asked to register via the AVASLP website with their preferred email addresses.

  4. BOARD OF DIRECTORS Past President: Loreen Blumenthal President: Lindsey Occhipinti President-Elect: vacancy election to be held Secretary: new vacancy election to be held Treasurer: Sarah Kiefer Luhring Technology specialist: Nadia Butcher DHA Representative: Laura Cord

  5. ELECTION Call for nomination will be sent out to all current AVASLP members. Positions for election to the board of directors: Present-elect Secretary

  6. PROGRESS In January 2020, per bylaws, the Board of Directors established a seventh position of Technology Specialist by resolution by the board members. Nadia Butcher was nominated and accepted the position. She has been working closely with Brandon Hunt to further develop the AVASLP website.

  7. AVASLP 2020 PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA APRIL 14-16, 2020 UNFORTUNATELY THE CONFERENCE WAS CANCELLED DUE TO THE COVID19 PANDEMIC. STAY TUNED FOR UPDATES ON THE SCHEDULING OF A FACE TO FACE AVASLP CONFERENCE IN 2021.
