The most common signs and symptoms of acute lymphoblastic leukemia is Anemia.
Anemia occurs when normal red blood cells can’t be produced because the bone marrow
is overcrowded by leukemic cells.
Rarely, loss of vision can be a presenting complaint, because most cases are
asymptomatic.
At the macula, hemorrhages, edema, or hard exudates can cause impairment of vision.
Retinal changes common to all anemias include the following: Hemorrhages, cotton wool
spots, retinal edema, hard exudates, vessel changes.
