What is an Individual Graduation Plan?? An IGP is a student specific education plan detailing the courses necessary for you to prepare for graduation and to successfully transition into the workforce or post- secondary education. You will complete this and review your plan with your parent/guardian and then share the information with your counselor during your IGP meeting.

How do I get there? High School Graduation Requirements 4 English credits 4 Mathematics credits 3 Science (must include Biology) 3 Social Studies (must include US History, Economics/Government) 1 Computer Science 1 Physical Education or JROTC 1 World Language OR CATE/CTE Elective 7 Additional Electives 24 Credits Total Required
How do I get there? College admissions requirements vary from HS diploma requirements in that there are certain additional or specific courses expected: 4 Math classes must be: Algebra 1 (or Fnd Alg + Inter Alg), Geometry, Algebra 2, and a higher level math (Probability & Statistics, PreCalculus, etc) 3 Lab Sciences must be: (Environmental Science & is a science that counts for graduation but is not a lab science for college admissions) Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry and Anatomy are strongly recommended additional science with the fields of Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Earth Science as a prerequisite; students desiring careers in STEM are encouraged to take one course in all four fields 2 World Language credits (some colleges require 3 credits of the same world lang) 1 Fine Art Elective 2 Academic Electives studies, fine arts, world language, or PE) (ex., computer science or additional credits in English, math, lab sciences, social
How do I get there? WSHS College Application Information College Application Day September 25 (8:30 1:30) We will be sharing sign up information closer to the date To help with your applications outside of school, many of the state s colleges and universities have developed videos on how to complete their application! Check them out here! Always check college application deadlines to make sure you get everything in on time. Many colleges are test optional this year but if you are sending your test scores, they must be sent directly from CollegeBoard (SAT) or ACT.

Reviewing & Sending your transcript: Use Parchment to access your transcript to review your credits, GPA, and current rank (keep in mind, your GPA & rank for state scholarships is ONLY the rank calculated in June at the end of each year) If your self-view transcript in Parchment doesn t show your senior year classes you need to click the Update button on the transcript icon to generate the new request. Make sure all courses you have taken for high school credit are posted to your transcript. Check specifically for transfer credits, summer school courses, courses you completed credit recovery for, and VirtualSC courses. If you don t have your Parchment account activated already, please use your registration code to link your new account to WSHS. See Ms. Ryans or Ms. Romines for assistance.
