Penn's Way 2023 is focused on supporting the community with a theme of "Going the Distance for Our Community." The campaign runs from October 3 to November 18, spanning 7 weeks. The initiative aims to raise funds through the United Way Impact Fund and features a mobile-friendly website for easy pledging. Faculty and Staff receive campaign materials, and online pledging allows for donations via credit or debit cards, with additional information available on the Penn's Way website.

Penns Way 2023 Dates: October 3 November 18 (7 weeks) Theme Going the Distance for Our Community No $ goal (due to economy) United Way Impact Fund is only UW option (12.5% admin fee)* Philadelphia Alliance for Change (PhAC) representing all other agencies, including Penn Medicine (8% admin fee)* New this year for our website mobile-friendly! $1 minimum (per pay or credit card) PhAC minimum * Administrative fees come out of donations.

  3. Campaign Materials At the start of the campaign October 3 - all Faculty & Staff to receive an email about Penn s Way. Coordinators to receive campaign posters at training sessions and Kickoff Luncheon. After the Kickoff, posters will be available for pickup by appointment with Tracy Hawkins (hawkinst@upenn.edu) .   5. Pledging Online Agency Changes Agency codes can change from year to year Especially true with migration from United Way to Phila Alliance for Change Pop-up message to advise users of one or more agency changes Search for agency to identify new code 5

  6. Take Note! Note: solicit only Penn faculty and staff No students Temps OK, but not expected Staff who are retiring or resigning should be encouraged to make a one-time credit card donation, or to write a check.* If anyone is paying by check, they should print out pledge page, attach the check and you or they can send to Payroll. * Payroll deductions for former staff require reconciliation in the system. Payroll is in the Franklin Bldg, 3451 Walnut, Rm 310, Mail Code 6205 6

  7. Payment by Credit or Debit Card Credit and Debit cards are deducted immediately Credit or Debit Card information can be used similar to online shopping Card information is 100% secure Penn pays credit card processing fees Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted 7

Raffles All participants are eligible Encourage early participation in campaign (more chances to win) Includes prizes every week Winners will be randomly selected on the Monday after the raffle deadline* The Almanac, website, and UPHS newsletters, and e-mail blasts will publish winners. * Final drawing is Tuesday, December 6 to ensure all entries are in the system 8
