2023 Core Forum Attendee Testimonials I loved that it was much smaller than a big ALA conference, it really gave me a chance to connect with people and interact more with the presenters. Larger conferences can feel overwhelming due to the number of attendees, sessions, etc. Core was a good size, with a wide variety of topics and an interesting mix of people. Everything was so well-organized and it felt like the conference was executed well by all of the people involved. Call for Proposals Now Open for Core Forum 2024! Core wants to hear from you! Share your interesting projects, research, perspectives, or experiences at Core Forum in Minneapolis. We re looking for presentations on hot topics and innovative content in the following areas: Access & Equity Buildings & Operations Leadership & Management Metadata & Collections Preservation Technology Proposal Form Questions Preview (PDF) Presentations should be thought-provoking and highly relevant to practitioners. Presentation Opportunities Session Concurrent sessions will be held on Friday and Saturday. Session presentations will be 45 minutes in length with 15 minutes for introduction and Q&A. Presenters are required to present in- person and register at the discounted presenter rate. Preconference Half-Day (3-4 hours) or Full-Day (5-6 hours) preconferences and tours will be held on Thursday. Presenters are required to present in-person and a modest honorarium will be offered. Poster The poster session offers the opportunity to share and promote work, research, and ideas across the Forum s content areas identified in the bulleted list above. Print poster presentations will be available throughout the Forum, with special time reserved during the 2-day event for participants to ask questions and engage in chat conversation with the presenters. core@ala.org www.ala.org/core
