Survey results from FLC's 2021 commuting survey provide valuable insights into the transportation behaviors of students, staff, and faculty. The report includes data on the number of commute days per week, average distance of commutes, time spent commuting by mode, and common barriers preventing individuals from biking, walking, or taking the bus to campus. The findings shed light on challenges and preferences related to transportation, informing potential strategies to improve sustainable commuting options at FLC.

  14. Discussion

  15. Discussion points Distance FLC community members are moving further and further from campus. Discussion of on- campus housing, shared commuting options. Safety This was a barrier to biking and walking. Ideas from our group were to add a sidewalk on the north hill. Also, add lighting on the skysteps. E-bikes growing the e-bike program is likely to help, especially for students and staff. Bus use was low aligning with the class schedule might help.
