ALICE is a proactive approach to school safety that empowers individuals to respond effectively in a crisis. It focuses on Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate strategies. ALICE emphasizes common-sense decision-making, providing tools for teachers, and empowering everyone to make choices based on the situation. The training involves drills to practice barricading, evacuating, and distracting intruders, with a focus on safety protocols and clear instructions for students and staff.
