RSD Five-Year Board Goals All goals will ensure student-focused decisions at a high level of expectations Goal One: All students achieve a level of readiness to reach their potential so that businesses and post-secondary schools SEEK OUT OUR STUDENTS! Goal Two: Be the School of Choice in our region for parents, students, and employees. Goal Three: Increase partnerships that create a unified community that values and supports education.
Goal #1 All students achieve a level of readiness to reach their potential so that businesses and post- secondary schools SEEK OUT OUR STUDENTS! School Achievements- Project Lead the Way School District Crawford Elementary became a Blue Ribbon School RIS -was awarded $1400 from the Sheriff s Office for Red Ribbon Week RHS - Mary Beth Cox and Language Arts IF Stephanie Perkins wrote a Literacy Grant for 2020-2022 - Successful Outcome for Arkansas Readers (SOAR). They received $60,000 each year for two years to support literacy Judy Pennington, district grant writer, wrote a Math Grant for strong TIER 1 math in grades 6-11 and received $100,800 RHS had 17 students and two alternates accepted to the Governor s School
Goal #2 RSD will be the School of Choice in our region for parents, students, and employees. Outstanding Teachers- Teacher of the Year was RHS teacher, Desha Lewis ESL Teacher of the Year from ARKTESOl, was Amiee Moody Terrel H. Bell Award; Crawford Principal Shavon Jackson was one of 10 in the nation to receive this award Bandmaster of the Year was RHS Band Director Dewayne Dove Chance Duncan was honored for being the only Arkansas Outstanding Biology Teacher of the Year ALE awarded Teacher s of the Year to Sarah Connerly, Bridget Smith, and Eli Cranor CVE s favorite teacher , Cathryn Bass, was awarded $500 by Arvest Bank The Board of Directors of the National Federation of State High School Associations selected Mr. Johnny Johnson of Russellville, Arkansas, as a 2019 recipient of the NFHS Citation Award. Mr. Johnson was recognized as among the best in their profession by their colleagues

Outstanding Students- National Merit Semi-finalist was RHS student Daxon Carreiro State Diamond Award was SLC student Cheyenne Henderson 2020 Digital Documentary Showcase was RJHS student Isabelle Clements RHS Forensics Debate Team won the State Tournament RHS Thespian Troupe received the critics choice award at State Eighteen RHS students made All-State Choir Twenty-two RHS students made All-State Band RHS Quiz Bowl wins fourth consecutive State Championship
Goal #2 RSD will be the School of Choice in our region for parents, students, and employees. Athletic Awards- Gatorade AR Boys Soccer Player of the Year was RHS student Dylan Rice RJHS Cheer Team won 2nd place at Southern Spirit Cheerleading Competition RHS Boys Soccer Team won the State Championship Boys Swimming & Diving took home the 2020 Championship Girls Swimming & Diving were runner- up in the 2020 Championship Band & Choir Awards- RHS Band made 1st Division & Superior Ratings in the Regional Marching Assessment Two RHS Band students were first chair finalists Forty-one Choir students qualified to audition for All-State RHS had 58 students qualify for the all region choir (which is more than any other school in the region)
Goal #3 RSD will increase partnerships that create a unified community that values and supports education. $100,522.00 was awarded to RSD students through community scholarships ConAgra & Wal-Mart donated over 50,000 Lysol wipes The Youth Leadership Program graduated six students at ANO RMS received 750 individual hand sanitizers from Kroger Garver Engineering donated $2000 of VEX IQ equipment to the RHS Robotics team London Robotics was awarded $2000 from Entergy for equipment Jim Bob Humphrey organized a Protect Our School campaign to raise money for Thermal Imaging Devices for each of our school buildings entryways Burris, Inc., donated several boxes of school supplies for RSD elementary schools
Goal #3 RSD will increase partnerships that create a unified community that values and supports education. I love my RSD raised $10,000 for COVID-19 relief RHS ranked #28 among America s High Schools Retirees left the district with a total of 420 years of service RSD s communications department now has an official YouTube Channel UE5G transitioned to Russellville Intermediate School
