Slide Note

Good afternoon, let us pray.

Dearest Lord, you have called us to be your hands and feet in this ministry. We are so grateful to be able to serve you in this way. Please prepare us with the willingness, skills, and heart to do it to the best of our ability. May we be open to what we can learn today so we can love you and serve you with our whole heart. In Your Son’s name. AMEN

Hello, I am Nancy Stockbridge and I serve with Kairos in Maryland. I have been involved for about 12 years and like many of you have served in the many ways God has called me for weekends, continuing ministry, and on the Advisory Council.

And good afternoon, I am Mark Brown, and I am part of Kairos of Alabama. I have been involved with Kairos for about 30 years having been invited to serve by my father, Harold Brown, who helped start Kairos of Georgia.

Our topic today is Making and Implementing a Plan. I think this goes so well with the theme of this conference “Be Prepared”. When we put on the armor of God, we are preparing to do battle in His name. You must have a plan before you go into battle. And there is a process to planning. Today we will spend some time taking a high-level overview of how we plan for conducting a Kairos event, but this methodology can be applied to any activity or task Kairos related or non-Kairos related. As a matter of fact, I teach the same process both in businesses and in Scouting.
