Volunteer vs. Vincentian A Volunteer seeks A Vincentian seeks Personal Fulfillment God s Will A Limited Scope An Infinite Scope A Compartmentalized Life A Seamless Life Few do while many receive We do, others do Quantity Quality
The Conference A small group of Vincentians, typically parish-based. Led by a President elected for 3 year term. Meets twice monthly, at a minimum. Appoints a Spiritual Advisor to lead weekly meditations to grow together spiritually. Individually reads and reflects on the Gospel. Collects resources - monthly collection, poor boxes, etc. Has a close relationship with the Pastor.
Helping Our Community St. Vincent de Paul volunteers support those in need with hope for a better life and assistance with: Food Housing/shelter Utilities Prescriptions Transportation costs And much more. Vincentians are friends and advocates for the Poor.
Home Visits are our Core Frederic Ozanam s Reasons For Home Visits: Personally acquainted with wants of those in need Be in a position to serve them, not from afar, but sincerely and intimately Visit not as social workers, but as brothers and sisters, as neighbors, as friends, as representatives of Christ's love Vincentians may be transformed by the experience and touched by God s grace.
