  4. Anytime you read/view a text, you should be thinking of the main idea and key details. Doing so activates your brain and allows you to begin the process of breaking down the text.

Somebody Wanted motivation: the gist of the issue; what somebody is trying to accomplish, achieve, or acquire But So Then resolution: the ending or outcome, what eventually happened main character, speaker, or author the problem: what is standing in the way of success, the conflict or opposition how the problem is solved

  11. Little Red Riding Hood wanted to take her Granny some treats but she met a wolf who tricked her by locking her Granny up and pretending to be Granny. So, Little Red got away and a woodcutter who was working nearby killed the wolf. Then, little red riding hood saved her Granny and they lived happily ever after.

  13. June wanted to fit in and be a normal 11 year old girl, but she began getting bullied by a mean girl also named June. So, after being sick and tired of getting bullied, one day June stood up to the mean bully at school, then she was no longer the victim of bullying

  14. With your partner, read the story Four Miles to Pinecone and together complete a summary of the story using the SWBST strategy. This will be turned in!
