  4. Day 1- Grammar Today we are going to be recapping all of our learning about nouns, adjectives and conjunctions! Have you got your grammar hat on? What is a conjunction? A word that is used to connect sentences together What is a noun? A thing, person, place or object What is an adjective? A word used to describe a noun The huge, magnificent building

  9. Day 2- Reading Comprehension- Task 1 CLICK ME FOR A REMINDER I hope you enjoyed reading all about Dino-sitting In your homework book, answer the questions below. Is this book fiction or non-fiction? How do you know? What are the two things Nutter liked to bump his head on? Which two adjectives were used to describe how Nutter felt on page 4? 4. Were the dinosaurs kind? Explain your answer 1. 2. 3. After you have finished your sentences, you can illustrate your work!

  10. Day 2- Reading Comprehension!- Task 2 CLICK ME FOR A REMINDER Using the picture below from the book, describe what you see with adjectives and then include them in some amazing sentences.

  12. Which story have we been reading in English? What do you know about the Rapunzel story?

  13. What do you already know about witches curses, spells and potions? Have you read any other books, watched TV programmes or films that contain witches curses, spells or potions? What have you noticed about witches curses and potions? Talk to your partner.

I m making witch spells, Give-you-all-an-itch spells, Stir the steamy cauldron with a monster Bone, I m making mean spells, Slithery and green spells, Turn you into a lizard on a slimy stone. I m making cat spells, Dangle-like-a-bat spells, Swish you on a broomstick through the Inky sky, I m making shark spells, Dangerous and dark spells, Give you all a nightmare til you scream And cry.

  15. Tell me..was there anything you liked about this poem? Was there anything you particularly disliked? Was there anything that puzzled you? Were there any patterns? Any connections that you noticed? Do you notice any patterns in the language such as repetition or alliteration? Were there any memorable words or phrases that stood out to you? Did you notice the rhythm of the poem? How would it feel if we recited the poem and walked around at the same time? Let's try it. What images come to mind as you heard the poem? What do you think helped create these images for you?

  17. Today we are going to look at lots of different poems. Are you ready?

  18. Do the words rhyme? What is the poem about? Which are your favourite words? Why?

  19. Can you tell me any words that rhyme? Do all poems rhyme? Which words would you like to steal?

  20. What do you notice about this poem?

  21. What do you notice about this poem? What do you like about it? Why?

  22. What do you notice about these poems? Do they all rhyme? Do you like the words that the author chose? Are you going to steal any words?

  23. Day 5

  24. Today you are going to practice performing the poem we looked at on Day 3. Which bits will you read loudly/softly? Will you include actions? Remember your audience? Can they hear you? Can you ask other people in your house to listen to you perform? Can they give you any advice on how to make your performance even better?
