The transition of GP training is progressing well with milestones set for 1st February 2023. Milestones to 1 February 2023 31 Jan - WAGPET contract ends Aug 31 Registrar placements for 2023.1 must be in July 1 WAGPET triggers full transition plan Training profile reports provided to practices, registrars and supervisors 1 Feb 2023 May 2022 June July August Sept Oct Nov Dec Jan 2023 Sep 30 All placements for 2023, registrars not placed and remaining capacity sent to colleges to ratify 1 Feb - College delivery begins SM

Progress since our last transition webinar 35% of registrar placements are already confirmed for 2023 Reaccreditations of practices are being brought forward and include reaccreditations for practices that are due in 2023. Only practices that are hosting registrars in 2023 and their reaccreditation is due will be completed by WAGPET. The colleges will manage any other reaccreditations due for 2023 from 1 Feb 2023. Every process performed by WAGPET is being assessed through a transition in / transition out handover plan. Helping us to get very clear on when WAGPET can no longer assist and the colleges will take up those tasks. SM

Progress since our last transition webinar ACRRM ACRRM representatives visited WAGPET and travelled to Karratha with our rural team for a day The ACRRM approach to registrar placements and practice agreements for 2023 has been published ACRRM will uphold placements arranged by WAGPET for 2023 Existing practice accreditations will be upheld SM

  7. Progress since our last transition webinar - RACGP RACGP representatives from the Profession-Led Team visited WAGPET spending a day with the WAGPET leadership team. RACGP have committed to return to WAGPET in early July with details of positions available to deliver GP training. This timeline is subject to the colleges receiving their funding from DoH. SM

  8. Further updates ECT visitors, semester 2 visits will be scheduled soon. All will be required to be complete by December 30 to ensure all reports are received and noted before the end of the training year. 2023 managed by RACGP No change to dates for early safety assessment for supervisors and direct observation for supervisors. End of term assessments will be brought forward complete by Dec 31 at the latest, or your registrar will not complete training for 2022. Very important for any GPT3 or extended skills in GP registrar who is finishing at the end of the year Practice diversity exemptions and practice diversity projects. If a registrar is staying with you for all of their training and has received an exemption to the RACGP practice diversity project, it must be completed by Sept 30 for ratification of the local RACGP censor. RPL if you have a GPT1 registrar their RPL (if required) must be submitted by Sept 30 check date Transfers to and from other RTOs will have to cease mid semester 2022, date to be confirmed. Clinical audits will need to be completed and submitted for marking for all GPT3 registrars by November 15. Workshops- back to face to face where possible note the dates for the GPT2 and CCE workshops, scheduled in order to line up with the RACGP exam assessment dates SM
