  2. BIBFRAME Pilot Pilot the BIBFRAME Pilot has been underway for several years now It s goal has been to ensure that the BIBFRAME Model is viable and scalable It has included all formats and language scripts from the start 2

  3. BIBFRAME Pilot: 100+ staff engaged Pilot participants fully trained and creating BIBFRAME descriptions Staff who catalog in non-Latin scripts are a big focus Insured that nonLatin scripts did not get short schrift LC s six overseas offices with their many languages and scripts have staff participating 3

  4. BIBFRAME Pilot: 100+ staff engaged This diversity of staff who process materials in a variety of languages, scripts, and formats helped assure that BIBFRAME is a stable model and can be used broadly in various communities So far, staff have to input their cataloging data twice, first using Marva (our BIBFRAME Editor) and second in MARC for our Voyager database Our aim is to cease this double keying by year s end Hence, BIBFRAME 100 4

  5. Transition of BIBFRAME from Pilot to Operation Transition of BIBFRAME from Pilot to Operation BIBFRAME 100 Moving all cataloging staff to BIBFRAME Training staff not currently participating in the Pilot to use Marva for inputting data Working with OCLC to determine how best to include serials catalogers (and CONSER colleagues) under the BIBFRAME 100 umbrella We want to train staff in BIBFRAME before we train them in using the new RDA Toolkit and its instructions 5
