Penalty Notices:The Education (Penalty Notices) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 Introducing a new national threshold for considering penalty notices. Increasing the amount of the penalty notice. Introducing a new national limit of 2 penalty notices within a 3-year rolling period to break cycles of repeat offending. Establishing a standard national threshold of 10 sessions of absence in 10 school weeks for considering penalty notices related to school attendance.
