Effective change management is crucial for success as it increases the likelihood of successfully navigating organizational changes, ultimately impacting individual members and the club as a whole.

  2. WHAT IS CHANGE MANAGEMENT? Change management takes care of the people side of change Change management is the process, tools and techniques to manage the people side of change to achieve its required business/Rotary outcomes

  3. WHY CHANGE MANAGEMENT MATTERS Organizational change happens one person at a time Poorly managing change is costly Effective change management increases the likelihood of success

  4. SOME CHANGE MANAGEMENT EXAMPLES Who has managed a change in a business? Volunteers to share their experience? How did it go? Could it have gone better? Using 20-20 hindsight, if you had to do it again ..?

  5. ANY CHANGES ON THE HORIZON FOR YOUR CLUB? Who is anticipating or currently in a change within your club? Examples? Expecting it to be an easy change or like pulling teeth? Why?

  6. CHANGE MANAGEMENT PROCESS Three Stages to Implementing a change 1. Preparing for the change Make sure you establish a team, don t do this on your own Why should you not do this alone? 2. Managing the change 3. Reinforcing the change

  7. PREPARING - PEOPLES REACTION TO CHANGE

  8. MANAGING THE CHANGE IN THE CLUB How does the club president help the club members adapt to changes in the club? Is there a communication plan? Is there a resistance management plan? What things can be done to make change palatable to members?
