Manufacturers contributed $2.17 trillion to the U.S. economy in 2015. 12.3 million manufacturing employees Manufacturing jobs are 9% of the workforce Average pay and benefits = $79,553 3 million manufacturing jobs will be needed in the next decade 2 million jobs are expected to go unfilled due to the skills gap
