  5. Psychology Psychology Reduce Reactance The tendency for people to react negatively when they feel someone is taking away their choice. Emphasis on personal choice. It s your choice, choose safety by Offer alternatives Hand the phone to a passenger. Be a good copilot. Let your friend focus on the road.

  6. Psychology Psychology Focus on Manual Use Not Just Texting Scrolling, browsing, dialing, programming the GPS, and reaching for an object are also common and dangerous. Identify safer choices One touch or hands-free is safer. Keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road Show disapproval for other behaviors Photo of a driver reaching for a phone
