FCCLA and Access from AT&T Program Partnership FCCLA is partnering with Access from AT&T: a program to provide low- cost wireline home Internet service to qualifying households with at least one resident who participates in the U.S. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) with an address in AT&T's 21-state service area at which AT&T offers wireline home Internet service.

  3. Access from AT&T The goal of Access from AT&T is to make it easier for more people to connect to friends, family, their communities and the possibilities of the Internet. Access from AT&T is an affordable Internet option available to millions of Americans with limited budgets. Access from AT&T addresses this goal by providing low-cost, wireline home Internet to allow families to: Do homework Pay bills Search for Jobs Find news, information & entertainment

  4. Price and Speeds Access from AT&T will offer the following speed tiers/prices: 10 Mbps download speeds, where technically available, for $10 per month; If 10Mbps is not available, then 5Mbps download speeds for $10 per month; If 5Mbps is not available, then 3Mbps, 1.5Mbps or 768kps download speeds (where technically available) for $5 per month. NO installation fee, NO modem fee, NO term commitment for qualifying households.

  5. Eligibility for Access from AT&T At least one individual in the applying household must participate in the U.S. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)*.   6. Community Service FCCLA s Community Service program guides students to develop, plan, carry out, and evaluate projects that improve the quality of life in their communities. By engaging in the FCCLA and AT&T Access program partnership efforts, your chapters are assisting in improving the quality of life for members of your community. If you integrate the Community Service program in your classroom, you can use your Access from AT&T program efforts as your project submittal for the national program awards which provide an opportunity for additional cash awards!

  7. Call to Action FCCLA will engage our chapters in specific communities across the country in promoting Access from AT&T to your neighbors, friends, families and community members. WHO: FCCLA Chapters WHAT: We need your help to promote Access from AT&T, hold promotional events, and raise overall awareness about this program and the opportunities it provides. WHY: Your local FCCLA chapter is respected in your community and serves as a trusted resource to community members your chapters are the grassroots connections! WHEN: August 2019-April 2020.   8. Why Engage? Get involved in: Community outreach and service Assisting others in gaining internet access The first 48 chapters to report their efforts to FCCLA will receive $250 from the National FCCLA Organization! The funds can be used for any of your chapter efforts.

Promotional Efforts Ways you can promote the Access from AT&T program within your communities: Distribute collateral and present information during larger community activities, such as resource/health fairs, financial literacy workshops, computer literacy classes, back-to-school nights, residents meetings, festivals, etc. Drop-off flyers at local SNAP offices, Welfare offices, and libraries Post on your chapter s social media platforms Set-up informational booth at local grocery stores and supermarkets.

  10. Promotional Efforts, continued What you need: Identify potential activities to leverage Include language about resource on activity flyer (i.e. Learn about a Low-Cost Internet Service Program ) Download collateral from Access from AT&T Partner Portal: http://accesspartners.att.com Order FREE pre-printed glossy collateral from Access from AT&T Printing Portal: https://attaccess.rrd.com Staff/volunteers (consider a brief training over the phone, webinar, or in person)

Commitments and Reporting When you choose to participate, you commit to: Host one promotional event Post a minimum of two social media posts on your chapter platforms or local community partner s platforms (sample posts provided) Distribute flyers to at least one local SNAP office, Welfare office, library, grocery store or other appropriate location Complete the report form after you ve finalized all of your efforts for the FCCLA and Access from AT&T partnership Deadline to submit your report form is April 15, 2020.
