  2. Introduction A notice is a short compositionintended to convey informationin acomprehensivemanner. It is usually an advance information about : an event an inauguration a function a programme It may be also be about something that has already happened e.g. Lost and found Notices There are also public notices. A public notice conveys information regarding : a happening general instructions

  3. Main characteristics It should be attractive. It is written in simple and Formal language and is always brief and to the point. It should follow format 1 Name of issuing agency/institution/organization 2 The word NOTICE 3 Date of issue 4 Appropriate heading in capital letters 5 (a) Name of the issuing authorities (b) Designation of the issuing authority The notice that must be placed in a Box

  4. Content : - The content should answer questions like : What-- Name of event/activity Who -- Name of organizer When-- Date and Time Where-- Venue Target Groups Participants Other Details If Any

  5. last date of submission of names and to whom (if applicable) agenda of the meeting to be mentioned (if applicable) prizes, chief guest, etc. Expression: Expression includes the over all organization (cohesion and Coherence) and relevancy of the content with grammatical accuracy and fluency.

Draft a notice informing the members of the school football team about a special coaching camp that is being organized in the school premises during summer vacation. Inform the team members of the presence of eminent Indian Footballer during the camp. Write the notice in not more than 50 words.
