Maria Skodowska Curie (1867-1934) She was a physicist and chemist. She shared the Nobel Prize in Physics (1903) with her husband Pierre Curie and physicist Henri Becquerel. She won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry (1911). Her achievements included the development of the theory of radioactivity, techniques for isolating radioactive isotopes, and the discovery of two substances, polonium and radium. She founded the Curie Institutes in Paris and in Warsaw, which remain major centres of medical research today. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first person and only woman to win twice, and the only person to win a Nobel Prize in two different sciences. She was also the first woman to become a professor at the University of Paris. But she was also great mother and wife.

Krystyna Janda Krystyna Janda was born in Starachowice, on December 18, 1952. She studied at the high school of art. In 1975, however, Janda managed to graduate from the State Higher Theater School. she has starred in many prominent films, such as "Interrogation", "Man of Marble"; "Man of iron", "Mephisto" She has been the director of the "Polonia" Theater she created. She managed to achieve a total of 17 medals and decorations. In May 2006, she received the Medaille Charlemagne pour des Medias Europeens (Charlemagne Medal of the European Media Award). The premise of the awarding of the Medal was and remains the outstanding acting achievements, commitment to the European agreement between East and West and the fight for the equality of women.

Maria Konopnicka (1842-1910) A feminist fighting for voting rights in the name of all the women, that didn t regret to be part of group of people who wasn t afraid of taking on the task woman s association for the defense of their own cause . A socialist, against every fact of life that hurts . Only after her death she was labeled as a national poet.
