BIOGRAPHY Born on March 18, 1927 in Kansas City, MO Nominated for 11 Tony's, won 3 for Best Original Score for Cabaret, Kiss of the Spider Woman, and Woman of the Year Began his career in 1956 as the pianist for The Amazing Adele, during its pre-Broadway run Made his Broadway debut in 1962 with A Family Affair Received the National Medal of Arts from President Obama In 2010, he married dancer & choreographer Albert Stephenson In 1991, Kander& Ebb were inducted into the New York Theatre Hall of Fame
