The Whys We must grow to continue to be viable We lose nearly 180 members per day to suspensions, withdrawals and deaths We help bring men back to the church If not the Knights, when who ? Local communities need help now more than ever What better way to do that than by participating in our Faith in Action and programs The organization that provides fraternity and spiritual support to strengthen families and local communities and help build back support for our Church, Bishops, and Priests Help men become better Catholics, fathers, husbands Tell your personal story Why did you become a Knight? How have you benefited from your membership?
Keys to Success Build a strong team Put the best people in the right position Communicate at a high level Develop a strong jurisdictional Strategic Plan/Playbook Assess actual vs. target performance at regular intervals Getting everyone to understand the whys Why membership growth is so important and why now Why EVERYONE must recruit? Get ALL councils recruiting active Overcome council leaders resistant to change Hold all leaders accountable Your #1 job is to inspire and motivate your teams Commit to making training a priority identify training needs and State trainers; use our ARGTDs Use the tools and resources available Into the Breach videos Everyday Heroes videos Training resources and Webinars
Focusing Your Efforts
Focusing Your Efforts Target younger men and Hispanic/Ethnic groups as priority target prospects Build strong partnerships with your local bishops Ensure that they know all we do Faith in Action programs Encourage them to promote KofC with their pastors Promote Online Membership as the easiest path to entry Promote wide adoption of Faith in Action programs Form strong partnerships with your General Agents and Field Agents Make establishing NCDs, Ethnic Round Tables, and holding monthly Diocesan exemplifications as a priority
Getting Off to a Fast Start
Getting Off to a Fast Start! Make sure you have all DDs and Directors in place Train them and hold them accountable! Don t let councils give up the Summer Appoint a State Communications Director to work with Councils Make maximizing visibility locally a priority for all councils Consider implementing Fast Start incentives and regular incentives throughout the year for councils and District Deputies

2022-2023 COH Criteria For State Deputies AND State Membership Directors 4 Mandatory Criteria Member Intake (85% of goal for Achievement Award, 100% for COH) Intake of men under 50 years of age Fraternal Benefits Events Holy Hours/Eucharistic Processions
2022-2023 COH Criteria For State Deputies AND State Membership Directors Any 2 Optional Criteria NCD Round Tables Star Councils Membership Drives Increase in the Percentage of Membership Active Councils Fraternal Survey submissions/dollars/hours Safe Environment Compliance
