SMCCCD Student Survey on Return to Campus: Insights from Fall 2021 Preferences
Insights from the SMCCCD Student Survey conducted in May 2021 reveal that 23% of students participated, with an overall response rate of 27%. The majority of students prefer online classes over in-person for Fall 2021, with female students showing a higher preference for online instruction. While white students prefer in-person classes, vulnerable student groups lean towards online learning. These results inform the colleges' preparations for a return to in-person classes.

Survey Introduction The three Colleges of the San Mateo County Community College District (SMCCCD) Ca ada College, College of San Mateo and Skyline College would like your input as we make the preparations for additional return of in-person classes for Fall 2021. We understand that factors impacting COVID recovery may change in the coming months. In order to inform our recovery planning, we are asking that you respond to the questions below based on how you are feeling now.
