Development Communication Its an approach to communication which provides communities with the information. The people can use this bettering in their lives. It s aim at making public programs and policies. The art and science of human communication apply to the speedy transformation of a country from poverty to dynamic state of economic growth and make possible greater economic and social equality

Role of Development Communication Development Communication is envisaged as a response to particular historical, Social and economical factor. That access freedom of access to information and citizen participation. Include socio-economic problems. High level of poverty and unemployment
Poor access to basic services Lack of access education and skill Lack of access to technology Poor health service Remote area issues
Solution of the issues The adaptation of technological and social innovations through diffusion of new idea. A well defined mass media and interpersonal communication necessary for this process. Motivation for the supportive people. Development communication specialist need to have a specific and depth knowledge in that particular field.
Philosophy of Development Communication Three main ideas which define the philosophy of development communication and make it different from general communication. 1. Development communication is purposive communication, It is value-laden; and it is pragmatic. In the development context, a tacit positive value is attached to what one communicates about, which shall motivate the people for social change.
2. Development communication is goal-oriented. The ultimate goal of development communication is a higher quality of life for the people of a society by social and political change. 3. The goal of development communication is not purely in economic terms, but also in terms of social, political, cultural, and moral values. That make a person's life whole, and that enable a person to attain his or her full potential.
