Online retailing grew 44%
in 2020, the largest one-
year increase in market
share in history.  How to
get the goods to
consumers? Delivery vans

Cities are
collapsing.  Home delivery
is turning public streets
into pop-up parking lots
which contributes to air
pollution, reduces safety
and increases congestion.

Online commerce
isn‘t slowing down.
The pandemic reset
consumer habits for
people to order food
and supplies
The solution: FlyDrop
Last-mile delivery using drones
Delivery vans deliver parcels to
local hub, from there they are
delivered to the door of receiver by
drones
Customers receive delivery
notifications in their phone and get
their parcel at their door within 30
mins
Vans are only used for hub-to-hub
transportation, where parking
spots can be arranged accordingly

Benefits for retailers:
lower delivery
costs due to no driver, no truck, and
fewer missed deliveries. Greener
delivery

More satisfied customers:
live
traceability and scheduling, flexible
delivery times. No-contact delivery for
hygiene.

Greener cities:
less congestion, energy
savings, curb-side space free for
pedestrians.

A competitive and innovative delivery
solution

FlyDrop is able to deliver packages of up to 2kg within a range of 20 km, it achieves vertical
landing for easier package drop-off. The drone delivers retail goods (not medicines or food)
which are usually packaged in boxes, suitable for drop off from distance.
Deliveries are made from a partner micro-hub (e.g., DHL Paketshop or the local delivery
service) and customers are able to select a time window of 30 mins for next-day deliveries.
This makes our footprint lower than that of traditional next-day deliveries using vans, as
drones consume significantly less energy and take less (no) space.
Additionally, the deliveries are unattended, meaning there’s no need for a delivery person
to do the handover resulting in lower delivery costs.
Flydrop’s software platform for operating the network receives customer requests,
generates routes, monitors, commands and controls all operating drones. With an easy-to-
use interface it allows for a seamless experience in the delivery service.

Local regulations:
Rules for UAV are very restrictive in
residential areas. A special permission is needed to fly in
certain areas.

Consumer acceptance:
New technologies can be difficult
to adopt. However we see that recreational drones are
becoming mainstream, thus making the drone-human
interaction more natural

Finding the right local partner:
FlyDrop will only handle
the last-mile deliveries (local micro-hub to customer) and
needs an established partner to fulfil deliveries

To set-up the business there are no high upfront
costs due to the large availability of delivery
drones in the market. The software platform for
operating the network will be developed in-
house.
