  2. What is a Drone Male bee in a colony of social bees which does not work . . .. . Space and Aviation terms unpiloted aircraft or spacecraft. Another term for it is an unmanned aerial vehicle or UAV.

  3. What is a Unmanned Aerial Vehicle? Flown without a pilot onboard controlled either autonomously by onboard computers or by the remote control of a pilot on the ground or in another vehicle Autonomous flown by flight path Remote Control Comes in variety of shapes, sizes, and functions

  4. What is a UAS? Unmanned controlled system is equipment beyond the drone itself Items typically include unmanned aircraft (UA); control system (ground station control system) control link other related support equipment (includes personnel)

  5. 6 Functional Categories Target and decoy providing ground and aerial gunnery a target that simulates an enemy aircraft or missile Reconnaissance providing battlefield intelligence Combat providing attack capability for high-risk missions (see Unmanned combat air vehicle) Logistics UAVs specifically designed for cargo and logistics operation Research and development used to further develop UAV technologies to be integrated into field deployed UAV aircraft Civil and Commercial UAVs UAVs specifically designed for civil and commercial applications
