Tournament Director Karen Fechner The Tournament Director has the full power and authority of HQMMC in relation to all matters concerning the conduct of the tournament The Tournament Director shall be the final arbiter in all matters of contention arising during the tournament. There is no avenue for appeal The Tournament Director may seek advice at their discretion

  4. Team Managers Responsibilities Pre-Game Complete Team Sheets Ensure players aware of interchange requirements Organise a Tech bench assistant for after the game During Game Ensure players a ready to go at schedule time (Clock will start at correct time every time ) Manage the behavior of the bench Ensure players interchange correctly at the halfway Ensure players follow TO instructions Be contactable between games in case of changes. Advise Selectors of player number changes You cannot be a team manager and player in the same team unless you have a separate non-playing person act in that role during game times and clearly identified to the Technical Official on duty.

  5. Team Changes Final lists changes by Thursday 5 PM Gives Karen a chance to change things in the system After Thursday 5PM changes to team list will only occur at the sole discretion of the Tournament Director.

  6. Tournament Manual https://www.qldmensmastershockey.com/about/policies/ Familiarise yourself with the Tournament Manual Disputes or Matters of Concern. The Designated Manager only may approach the Tournament Director to discuss matters of concern or lodge a dispute A dispute must be made no later than 10 mins from end of game A dispute cannot be about an on field umpiring decision or technical officer decision. Tournament Director may make a binding decision or seek further advice at their discretion in accordance with the Tournament Manual. Rule interpretations - see the Umpires Manager not the umpires. Matters of concern can be asked at anytime taking note of dot point 2 above.

  7. Tournament Manual Players can only play in one team unless TD provides approval prior to the start of the game. Don t wait till last minute as TD may not be available when you want them to be. In the event of COVID outbreak in a team please advise TD immediately and we will try and find a solution with regards to players to maintain the teams. Bring Alternate Socks Goal Keepers and field players rule Can play with 11 Field Players. Can substitute GK for corner and Stroke for safety

  8. Match Durations and interruptions Times start at the scheduled time. There is no exception to this rule regardless. The clock will start at the schedule start time and after half time whether you are ready or not 25 Minute halves 4 minutes half time. 6 minutes between games. No toss of the coin team. Dugout A hits off and teams start the same side as their dugout in the first half Umpire will blow the whistle when one team is on the pitch and all players onside. If other team not ready play can commence. Half a game constitutes a game (25 mins) Any match that doesn t consist of 25 minutes or more will be declared a draw. There will be no rescheduling of games

Equal Points after Pool Games Goal difference - goals "for" less goals "against" If a tie still exists; Highest total number of goals scored in the qualifying matches If a tie still exists; The number of matches won during the rounds If a tie still exists; Count-back (result of match in qualifying round if teams played each other If a tie still exists; the team with the least amount of Personal Penalty Point as determined in Section 14 if a tie still exists Toss of a coin

  10. Personal Penalties Green = 2 points; Yellow = 4 points; Red = 12 points. Points are cumulative for the duration of a tournament including semi-finals and finals, but shall lapse at the end of the tournament. Once a player has received a total of twelve (12) points, that player shall be automatically suspended for the next match due to be played by their team in the tournament, except that if the player has been awarded a red card, the Tournament Director may impose a harsher penalty. Following the serving of a suspension, a player's penalty points total shall revert to zero points. Team personal penalty points may contribute to final placings in the event of a draw on the points table.

  11. Tournament Jury Tournament Director and 2 * QMMH Committee Members. Will meet if required to deal with Player and Official Code of Conduct Issues. There is no avenue for appeal on any decision by the Tournament Jury during the tournament.

  12. Equipment and Clothing Each team will provide a Playing Ball to the technical bench at the start of each game and retrieve after the game Shin Pads are compulsory on the field of play at all times All team lists need to have Team numbers.

  13. Technical Bench Each Team must provide a player to run the technical bench / scoreboard following the game they played. If not required, they will be released by the official on duty. They must stay until released.

  14. Facilities Fields Use Field 1 is the Green Turf Field 2 is the Blue Turf Clocks are managed by each Technical Bench Watering is managed by the RHA. They monitor fields constantly and will water only when necessary. They don t need assistance or advice from players and teams. Live Streaming from the Green turf only

  15. Facilities Fields Use The team listed first on the draw is to enter the left hand side dugout (from the tech bench) the team listed second is to take the right hand side dugout. (the other one) No hitting up against the dugouts All players must clean their footwear in the footbaths provided. When leaving the tech bench all rubbish must be removed and placed in the bins provided. No sports drinks, coffees, soft drinks or energy drinks are to be taken onto the playing surface at any time including half time breaks No chewing gum allowed on the field whilst playing No jewellery or watches including fitness bands are allowed to be worn whilst playing unless they are covered up. Each team must remove all rubbish when leaving the dugouts

  16. Facilities - COVID Requirements All payments at the centre are tap and go. RHA do not accept cash. Every person must follow the direction of the RHA Facilities Officer There is no requirement to be COVID Vaccinated to play at this tournament. Officials and volunteers no longer require vaccination to attend Teams can now enter the field of play whilst previous teams are exiting the field. Incoming teams MUST leave their equipment outside the dugouts until the teams before them have completely vacated the area. Take them through to the field and bring back later Number 1 Rule- GET OFF THE FIELD QUICKLY AFTER THE GAME

  17. Facilities - Alcohol The Rockhampton Hockey Grounds are a licenced venue and will have designated areas for the consumption of alcohol. Alcohol cannot be brought in at any time. Bringing in alcohol puts their liquor licence in jeopardy. RHA reserve the right to open and check all bags, coolers, eskys etc brought into the centre.

  18. Selection Ribbons Players nominated for Queensland must wear the following ribbons on their socks or sleeves 34 Orange 40 Fluro Green 45 Yellow 50 Red 55 White

  19. Socials & Photographer #TeamQLD Any photographers out there let us know we can provide some access to Facebook site. Some games will be live streamed any budding commentators let us know

  20. Questions Remember it s a game and everyone organizing, officiating and umpiring is a Volunteer and has paid their own way to get there Have a good weekend and enjoy the hockey
