Increasing the amount of the penalty notice.
Introducing a new national limit of 2 penalty
notices within a 3-year rolling period to break
cycles of repeat offending.
Establishing a standard national threshold of
10 sessions of absence in 10 school weeks
for considering penalty notices related to
school attendance.
