Ohio Follow-up Processes in Education
Ohio's education system collects follow-up data each January by districts, reported in spring to the ODE as required by law. The ODE cannot include student names or SSNs in the reports. Districts and teachers are responsible for tracking students after they leave school, following best practices to ensure accurate reporting and successful follow-up. Post-program outcomes and strategies for tracking and communicating with students are highlighted in the provided images and resources.

Best Practices Get contact info from students before they leave Communicate with students about follow-up Actually follow-up Be mindful of software defaults If a student is incorrectly reported as a concentrator, mark with x Report carefully and accurately
