  2. LEARNING THROUGH PLAY

TRANSITION Virtual tour Under the circumstances, we invite you into school via a video tour Tapestry links This is our online learning journal where you can access your child s observations from school and home Nursery reports If your child has previously attended another setting we will contact your child s setting to ask for transition reports Summer activities I will get a book bag to your child at the end of the Summer term, in this will be a summer fun book for you to complete with your child

STARTING SCHOOL Transition meeting Chance to meet and speak to Early Years staff and have a look around the department Half days We will ease children in for first two days to ensure smooth transition from home schooling Where to go Enter school through the infant playground and head towards the Early Years garden.

  5. NURSERY SESSIONS Session times School opens from 8:45am Morning session: 8:55am 11:55am Afternoon session: 12:15pm 3:15pm All day session: 8:55am 3:15pm All children will receive a snack and milk or water during a session Only All day children will have lunch at school. This will be a packed lunch. The children will eat in the classroom with a member of the Early Years team and a lunch time assistant supervising.

  6. 30 HOURS FUNDING All children are entitled to the universal 15 hours of funded Education and Childcare beginning the school term after their third birthday. Some families are eligible for an additional 15 hours funding. Parents need to be working 16 hours a week at national minimal wage In two parent households both need to be earning this. Visit the government s Childcare Choices website to find out if your family is eligible. o If you are eligible, you will be given a DERN code (Department of Education Reference Number) to bring to school. o You will need to reapply for the 30 hours of funding every three months. o As with the universal 15 hours of funding, the 30 hours of funding a week covers school term time only. o Any Questions please visit the School Office who will be happy to help.

UNIFORM *Red jumper or cardigan-these do not have to have the school logo on *White polo t-shirt *Plain black jogging pants OR Grey / black trousers / skirt *Summer - red and white checked dress *Grey/white/black socks *Appropriate school black shoes *Appropriate coat Please ensure your child s name is in all items of clothing Please note, your child s uniform will get dirty. We access the outdoors daily and in all weathers. We also access activities such as paint, playdough and glue daily.

  9. NURSERYLIFE Welcome assemblies Parental Workshops Open door policy Stay and play 8:45-8:55 daily Drop in sessions Variety of parent activity sessions
