NCDHR & GIFT The norms and Principles have reinforced the need for the principle of participation in the Fiscal Transparency in policies with respect to the marginalised communities in the Indian and the South Asian Context Principle of Participation key to ensuring marginalised communities are at the table The Opportunity to link with the multi stakeholders ( governments, civil society, think thanks and IFIs) from different countryou contexts and cross country learnings have been critical

  3. Tech Solutions for Fiscal Accountability Last Mile Connectivity is key to ensuring communities access Services Redressal Mechanisms to address gaps in governance and implementation of policies NCDHR created a online portal to file complaints against authorities failing to implement and release funds

  4. Motivating Citizens on Budgets Capacitating Groups on Budgets (CSOs and CLOs) Enabling various groups working on several thematic areas to advocate for budgetary entitlements ( thereby ensuring participation of the communities) Linking groups and representing the issues in Pre-Budget consultations both at the Federal and state level

  5. NCDHRs Gift to GIFT Promoting the GIFT principles to other networks and organisations in Country Encouraging other networks/organizations in South Asia on GIFT principles Contribute in kind Time to organising and also hosting webinars NCDHR has a wide network of community organisations, can help in identifying and documenting evidences of good practices of Budget transparency and accountability Deepening the understanding and importance of the principle of participation for vulnerable commmunities.
