To encourage and develop the expertise of staff and to provide a stimulating learning environment for all school users. Scotstoun Primary School Improvement Priorities 2019 - 2020 Curricular and policy developments: HWB review current programme and teaching and learning, develop revised whole school programme to include recent developments (growth mindset, mental wellbeing, SHRE updates), staff CPD, Developing the Young Workforce, world of work My World into P6 and P7 as part of DYW and transition to secondary school, staff training; linked with HWB programme on resilience, growth mindset, pupil setting targets, self awareness and mental wellbeing. Learning and Teaching Policy develop a whole school L and T policy to build on Tapestry, good lesson, current practice to ensure consistency across the school, further develop and embed pupil engagement in their learning and setting targets, Language and Communication School audit, Play approaches (see below) and Inclusion (see below). Digital Strategy CPD, pupil and parental engagement, strategy development, programmes of study linked to Glasgow phased implementation of ipads, apple tv and renewing of school ICT resources.
Continuing Improvement Priorities and Public Equity Funding Priorities 2019 - 2020 Continue to embed Literacy for All with the development of whole school progressions for reading, writing, talking and listening, school policy statement and framework for learning and teaching of literacies, further staff CPD , reading, writing and talking and listening trackers, raising attainment across literacies and pupils setting targets Continue to embed Glasgow Counts with development of a school policy statement, further staff CPD, raising attainment in numeracy, pupils setting targets *Activity Based Learning Approaches ( play ) continue to work with May Geddes (GCC consultant), embed into P1 and develop into P2, closing the vocabulary gap, word aware strategies, pupils leading their learning skills, raising attainment groups, family learning and engagement and assessments *Inclusion nurture approaches across all stages, supporting ASD pupils in classes, continue staff training and CPD, strategies and support planning, supporting ASN pupils, raising attainment *Family Engagement continue and develop -playing with sounds, play away maths, stay and play, clubs *PEF funds used for staffing and resources to support these priorities.
