Engage FAPTC early in the process to
determine/recommend faculty rank
Types of Appointment
1.
Lateral appointment (Same rank and track)
2.
Promotion and/or with tenure
Documents needed
1.
Candidate CV
2.
Appointment request letter (chair) –
 
include academic productivity, clinical
 
activities, teaching, and service.
3.  If promotion or appointment with tenure, include
 
justification
Process
1.
Initial review: Dr. Morano and Johnson George
2.
FAPTC review and electronic vote
3.
Lateral appointment
4.
Appointment with promotion and/or granting of
tenure
