Encourage children to explore creativity through fun art projects like multimedia collages, quilting with fabric squares, and art appreciation. Let them unleash their imaginations, play freely, and engage in the process without worrying about perfection. These activities promote critical thinking, fine motor skills, and emotional expression while having a great time.

  1. LEARNING IN A FUN WAY REMEMBER THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN ! SO DO NOT MIND THEM NOT DOING EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT. ITS ALL ABOUT THE PROCESS AND PARTICIPATION. JUST LET THEIR INHIBITIONS AND IMAGINATIONS RUN WILD AND LET THEM BE. STUDIES SHOW THE MOST SOPHISCATED THINKING HAPPENS DURING PLAYTIME THAT IS NOT ORGANIZED.

  2. MAKING A MULTIMEDIA COLLAGE WHAT YOU NEED SCRAP MATERIALS AS NEEDED ( PAPER SCRAPS, FABRIC SCRAPS, YARN OR NETTING. SHEETS OF CONSTRUCTION PAPER, CARDBOARD OR OTHER STURDY PAPER ON WHICH TO MAKE THE COLLAGES FASTENERS SUCH AS TAPE & GLUE DAMP SPONGES AND PAPER TOWELS FOR WIPING UP DRIPS AND SPILLS HOW TO DO IT PROVIDE KIDS WITH OWN BIN MATERIALS ASK THEM QUESTIONS TO GUIDE THROUGH THE PROCESS WHILE THEY WORK AND 4ENCOURAGE CONVERSATION WHAT ARE YOU MAKING OR WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT THE BUTTONS REMEMBER: THEY DON T HAVE TO CREATE SOMETHING SYMBOLIC LIKE DOG OR A PERSON AS THEY PROGRESS WE WILL GET THERE

  3. QUILTING WITH FABRIC SQUARES

  4. Creative art area: Art Appreciation CHILDREN GET TO EXPLORE THE DIFFERENT AESTHERTIC OF DIFFERENT FABRICS as they create their own quilts MATERIALS: PHOTOES Of QUILTS FROM CRAFT MAGAXINES ( GOODLE SEARCH AND PROJECT IT ON SCREEN) FABRIC PIECE SOF DIFFERENT TEXTURES,COLORS,DESIGNS ,SHAPES (ASK PARENTS COMTRIBITON Masking tape Scissors HOW TO DO IT Look at the pictures of quilts with your students. Encourage them to pay attention to shape and color. Help them look for patterns and how smaller pieces of fabric come together to make a larger picture. Give each child several a collection off fabrics and teach them how they can use masking tape and piece them together. Pre-cut strips of tapes that they can use.

  5. QUILTING WITH FABRIC SQUARES REMEMBER: ITS OKAY IF SOME KIDS WILL PUT MANY PIECES OF TAPES OR ONE FABRIC OTHERS WILL ACTUALLY CONSTRUCT A LARGER DESIGN ITS OKAY WHY YOU MAY ASK? ANYTIME YOU ASK ANYONE TO LOOK AT ART YOU ENCOURAGING THEM TO THINK CRITICALLY, THEY ARE FORCED TO PERCEIVE SHAPE AND COLOR, CONSIDER MEANING AND PURPOSE AND EXPLORE THEIR OWN EMOTIONS IN RESPONSE TO ARTWORK THIS PARTICULAR ACTIVITY ALSO INVOLVED PRACTICE WITH FINE MOTOR-SKILLS AS WELL AS PLANNING AND CLASSIFYING. IN ORDER TO CREATE A QUILT KIDS NEED TO EVALUATE CHARACTERISTICS OF ALL DIFFERENT FABRIC PIECES AND THERE IS SOME GEOMETRY THER EIF YOU CONSIDER ALIGNING FABRIC PIECES AND CUTTING OTHER PIECES TO MATCH.

  6. OTHER ACTIVITIES SING WITH PARACHUTES GLUE THEMSELVES TO THE FLOOR CREATIVE AREA:MUSIC CREATIVE AREA: MOVEMENT MATERIALS: A CLASS-SIZE PARACHUTE CHILDREN PRETEND PART OF THEIR BODIES ARE GLUED TO THE FLOOR AND INVENT WAYS TO MOVE WITH THAT PART FIXED IN PLACE HOW TO DO IT MATERAILS:NON JUST STUDENTS! FIND A LARGE EMPTY SPACE OR GO OUTSIDE AND LET THE CHILDREN CIRCLE AROUND THE PARACHUTE. THIS WILL INCLUDE MUSIC AND NOISE-MAKING HOW TO DO IT DEMONSTRATE TO THEM DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HIGH-PITCH AND LOW PITCH SOUNDS. MATCH THESE TWO WHEN THE PARACHUTE IS HIGH AND LOW. ASK THEM TO JOIN IN THE FUN NOW SO THEY PRETEND A PART OF THEIR BODY IS GLUED , YOU ENCOURAGE THEM WITH EXAMPLES LIKE OH MY HAND IS GLUED TO THE FLOOR SO AM GOING TO STRETCH MY LEG OR I WONDER HOW YOU MOVE OTHER PARTS OF THE BODY WITHOUT MOVING THE HEAD? WHY YOU MAY ASK ? WHY YOU MAY ASK? MUSIC STIMULATES AUDITORY AND EMOTIONAL AREAS WHICH CREATE PLEASANT FEELINGS FOR MELODIC SOUNDS AND UNPLEASANT FEELING FOR DISSONANT SOUNDS. STUDIES SHOW THAT WE LEARN THIS EVEN AS TODDLERS AND THE ALSO DISCOVERED THE SAME AREA OF THE BRAIN THAT PROCESSES MUSIC IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR MATHEMATICAL REASONING. SO EVEN A SYOUR RAISING THAT PARACHUTE UP D DOWN TRYING TO MATCH PITCH, YOU'RE ALSO HELPING CREATE A STRONGER SENSE OF MATHEMATICAL CONCEPTS IN YOUR STUDENTS MOVEMENT ACTUALLUY HELPS KIDS GROW NEW BRAIN CELLS YOU CANT GET MORE ACADEMIC THAN THAT!!)ACCORDING TO EARLY CHILDHOOD EXPERT DAVID SOUSA MOVEMENT IMPROVES ALERTNESS, ATTENTION. AND MOTIVATION WHICH ENCOURAGES NERVE CELLS TO BIND TO ONE ANOTHER, WHICH IS THE BASIS OF LOGGING A NEW INFORMATION.
