What is Art Therapy? Art Therapy is . A combination of psychotherapy and art making that helps individuals process challenging thoughts or feelings An opportunity for: self-reflection, empowerment, to explore meaning making, to grow, learn, heal and most importantly, a way to care for the self For anyone! You don t have to know about art or have artistic skill 3
How can Art Therapy support me? Art therapy is accessible. We can use any of our 5 senses to experience creative self-expression Art therapy is a silent voice. It can help address thoughts or feelings we may not be able to say out loud Art Therapy is about intent. Art therapy is a break. We let the art do the work 4
Art Therapy as Self Care Moving into art making can help us refocus and create distance between our challenging thoughts or feelings Calming Relaxing Helps process I m worth it! 5

Lets Choose a card on the table K E R M Take time to decorate the outside of the card T Remember to keep the inside blank! 8
Lets If you re able, move one seat to the left (You should be in front of someone else's art piece) K E R M T Write/draw an encouraging or supportive word, image or statement 9
