CREATIVITY Creativity is the capability or act of conceiving something original or unusual. (Wiley, 2013) It is the ability to generate a thought or an idea that is completely new, appealing, and useful. Generating creativity means allowing people to think outside the box and go against the norms sometimes. Innovation doesn't happen without creative people on board. 4
TYPESOF CREATIVE THINKING Divergent Thinking: It is a thought process or method used to generate creative ideas by exploring many possible solutions of a problem. Lateral Thinking: Exploring new ideas, thinking outside the box Aesthetic Thinking: Considering or appreciating something (arts, beauty in nature or elegant designs) Systems Thinking: Identifying an interrelation between things and viewing them from a 360-degree perspective Abstract Thinking: Thinking about objects, principles, and ideas that may not be physically present Design Thinking: Applying strategy, problem-solving and decision-making to the process of design 6
