THE PERSON OF MEN MATTHEW 22:15 Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk. 16 And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.

MATTHEW 24:24-27 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 25 Behold, I have told you before. 26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 3. THE.ANGEL.OF.THE.LORD 16 See, people, a long time ago you ought to have come to God and got yourself settled down, know where you were standing. Bible said in these last days that there'd be a famine, not for bread and alone, but for the hearing of the Word of God. And men would go from east, west, north, and south trying to find It, and would fail. You better get sealed into the Kingdom of God by the Holy Ghost, while you got a chance. 4. THE.GOD.OF.THIS.EVIL.AGE 54 And the world seems to be in the most evil age that ever was. 5. During one of his political campaigns, a delegation called on Theodore Roosevelt at his home in Oyster Bay, Long Island. The President met them with his coat off and his sleeves rolled up. "Ah, gentlemen," he said, "come down to the barn and we will talk while I do some work." At the barn, Roosevelt picked up a pitchfork and looked around for the hay. Then he called out, "John, where's all the hay?" "Sorry, sir," John called down from the hayloft. 6. EARNESTLY.CONTEND.FOR.THE.FAITH 6 He was just an ordinary man, language that you use where everybody, the common people would hear. There was nothing outstanding about His looks that you could make Him what He was. What He was is not by outward appearance. For He was a man outward, but inward He was God, Emmanuel. Father God was in Him What made Him different? As a speaker I guess He wasn't so forceful there was just something about His talk that caught the heart of people though. He didn't have to be so forceful about it in an outward demonstration, but there was something down in His talk that fascinated the hearts of people. The Person of Men 8/4/2021 6 55-0123

16. PRODIGAL 22 Let's say theyd [Prodigal Son] went to church every Sunday, loved God, and they served God with all their heart. But one day, this younger son, let's say he would start going out with a group that he had no business going with. Listen you young people...?... I don't care who the boy is or girl is, if they're not saved keep them away from them. Somebody said, "Well, I can go into the barroom with a guy. I can drink a Coke while he drinks beer and whiskey and come back out and be the same person." I doubt it. "Shun the very appearance of evil." 17. BELIEVEST.THOU.THIS 39 A little girl at the Tabernacle, a sweet little old Christian girl. She was running around with some little old boy who packed a flask in his pocket and smoked cigarettes. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; 18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. JEHOVAH.JIREH 57-0309 17 Now, if a man says, "Well, I just walk up and shake hands and say, 'I got it I got eternal security,'" you're off track If you love the Lord, you'd do it because you don't want to hurt Him. (People)... used to wear long dresses, long sleeves, long hair. They should, but that isn't what takes you to heaven. You could have hair long, dresses long, and have a temper enough to fight a buzz saw, hate your neighbor... But the reason that you do keep yourself the way it should be, is because you love the Lord and want to keep His command- ments, if you're Abraham's daughters, Abraham's sons. 21. HEAR.YE.HIM 12 The Word of God It has no end. It's from eternity and for everlasting. It's always God's Word. And Jesus said it was a Seed. And if a seed is put in the right kind of ground and watered correctly, it's certainly going to produce what kind it is. And if you need anything from God, the Seed of God will produce it, if you'll just receive it into your heart and believe it with all your heart. 8/4/2021 57-0105 The Person of Men 21

22. THE.MARK.OF.THE.BEAST 49 The little womb here in your heart, with the seed this morning falling into it... Let it fall down here and say, "Well, sure, that's the truth." The Bible said don't act like the heathen, the unbelievers. Don't yoke yourself with them. Come out from among them If you love the world or the things of the world, the love of God's not even in you yet. You've never been born. 24. (Pos.) FAITH.WITHOUT.WORKS.IS.DEAD 43 Divine healing isn't a hocus-pocus affair. It isn't saying a few mystery words over somebody and hypnotizing. It's the truth revealed through Jesus Christ is Divine healing. Gifts of the Spirit are brought down to edify. Or other words, it's the flag a flying over top of the building. It's the appearance of the outside to attract the people in out of the rain. Now, gifts come from God. If they are from God, they'll testify of God. 25. MEANEST.MAN.I.KNOW 51 We can't never compare with the world. We're doing wrong by trying to act like the world. Glow, not shine with the outward appearance, glow on the inside by the Holy Ghost, with sweetness, meekness, gentleness, patience, and love. 52 The church is a whole lot like it was in the days of Esther. Esther didn't take the perfuming, She adorned herself with the modest apparel, the hidden man of the heart. The king said, "Put the crown on her head." Esther was a type of the church today, those ready to come out and adorn themselves with the sweetness of the Holy Spirit, not the perfuming and the dressing of the world, try to compare with them but that hidden man of the heart. 62-0127 The Person of Men 8/4/2021 25

26. DO.YOU.NOW.BELIEVE 29 All of our songs out here, some kind of this old jazz music, screaming out. You can't even go in a restaurant and eat without that stuff going on. It's a shame. I go in one, I see it, I turn around and go out, if I can, get away from there. No, sir. That kind of stuff leads right down to destructions. The devil is in that thing, and it'll finally pull you into it. Shun the appearance of evil. Now, you're going to think I'm a holy-roller, sure enough. 27. THIS.GREAT.WARRIOR.DAVID 7 Israel wanted to impersonate other people. That's what the church wants, impersonate, become a backslidden condition. And in this condition, they got them a king, thought, "He will make a wonderful king. But as God said, "Man looketh on the outward appearance, but God looketh on the heart " When God selected His king for them, a little old ruddy, sapling looking kind of a fellow, look like a little sissy. And that was God's pick of it. What a difference. That's just the way God does things sometime. He does it in such ways that's so contrary, so different from what we think.
