Why do you think Lil thinks Pepe would like her Grandad? 2. Why was it not a dignified entrance? What would a dignified entrance be like? 3. Do you think it was disrespectful to draw Lord Carnarvon s coat of arms on the rock? Why? 4. How do Mrs Mendoza and Mr Carter know each other? 5. Why did Mr Carter lie to the crowd about whether the tomb has been entered?

  11. Here are the answers I would give the questions set. I have written my answer in blue and my explanation of how I know think this is in green. 1. Why do you think Lil thinks Pepe would like her Grandad? I think that Lil thinks Pepe would like her Grandad because they are like-minded. Page 1 & 2 and my previous knowledge of Lil s Grandad. 2. Why was it not a dignified entrance? What would a dignified entrance be like? They were scruffy and not well- dressed and arriving on a camel. I think a dignified entrance would be in their finest clothes and clean. Page 3 3. Do you think it was disrespectful to draw Lord Carnarvon s coat of arms on the rock? Why? Yes I do, because it didn t belong to him. Page 4 4. How do Mrs Mendoza and Mr Carter know each other? Previously, Mr Carter had tried to woo Mrs Mendoza. Page 6 5. Why did Mr Carter lie to the crowd about whether the tomb has been entered? He didn t want them to know he had illegally entered it. My own knowledge of the story so far. Page 16.
