The sandstorm in the last chapter was pretty scary! Pepe
seemed quite cross with the children because he linked them
with ‘you English people’ – Egypt had been controlled by
Britain until the year this story is set, so there was a little bit of
resentment. Sneaky of him to send them the wrong way
though!
