  2. Speed read word find time!! How quickly can you find the following words by skimming and scanning the page? Page 70 Lancaster Page 71 mess Page 73 stink Page 75 scratched Page 82 - potatoes

  3. Vocabulary Chapter 5 Vocabulary Chapter 5 Act out the following sentences and then try to explain to your parents what you think the underlines words mean. Can you think of nay synonyms for the underlined words. Page 69 Nothing mattered to him now except the medal. He dumped Ocky unceremoniously into the armchair and began searching frantically on his hands and knows amongst the feathers. Page 71 He put his arm around Ocky s shoulder and Ocky climbed onto his lap and bit enthusiastically into her onion. Page 80 Granny Wesley shook her head vigorously.

  6. Read through Chapter 5 of Mr Nobodys Eyes Please read at least half of the chapter aloud, either to yourself or an adult. Remember to think about your expression and flow. Sound out unfamiliar words carefully.

Does any part of the word sound like a word you have used/heard of before? Can you put 3 into a sentence of your own?
