Campus Equity and Diversity Initiatives at West Valley College
The Office of Student Equity & Success at West Valley College, under the leadership of Herlisa Hamp, is dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the campus community. Through various programs, events, and initiatives outlined in the 2020 Educational Master Plan, the college strives to create a supportive environment for all students. From implementing speaker series to celebrating cultural heritage months, the college actively engages in fostering healthy discussions on race and ethnicity, integrating cultural competence into education practices, and advocating for equity and inclusion. The efforts to enhance campus culture through equity funds and mandates reflect a commitment to student success and well-being.

Enhancing Campus Culture Equity Funds & mandates Speaker Series Diversity Affairs Office 1. 2. 3. Develop healthy discussions on race and ethnicity. Make the Student Equity Plan a meaningful part of college planning and evaluation. Bring Campus 2020 Master Plan to life.
