Mid Day Meal Scheme is centrally sponsored Scheme of Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. Under this scheme, cooked Mid Day Meal is provided to the children of primary and upper primary classes of Govt. & Govt. Aided Schools of GNCT of Delhi through 53 Service Providers having semi automated kitchens for preparation of meal. In Delhi, MDM Scheme is implemented through Six implementing agencies i.e. DOE, 3MCDs, NDMC and DCB. Dte. of Education is implementation of MDM Scheme in Delhi. the Nodal Office for 3

Inspections of the kitchens of the Service Providers are regularly carried out in order to ensure supply of hygienic and fresh food to the children.
