  31. U.S. Ski & Snowboard & USASA Update Adult Membership 2021-2022

  32. U.S. Ski & Snowboard & USASA Joint Efforts Current Adult Compliance Shared Responsibilities Duplication of Efforts Manual Process Inconsistent Standard ADULT COMPLIANCE

  33. U.S. Ski & Snowboard & USASA Joint Efforts New for 2021-22 For the 2021-2022 season Safe sport is shifting all compliance records and management to a merged database with NMO s and NGB s. While this is a needed changed it imposes a software improvement to satisfy the compliance requirements @ USASA. Our developer has estimated this cost to be between $20-25K by July 1. Upon further analysis of our membership costs, we have determined that the added compliance tracking and administrative costs would require a significant USASA membership increase.

  34. U.S. Ski & Snowboard & USASA Joint Efforts Improved Solution Adult membership compliances (background screening and SafeSport) will be completed by US Ski & Snowboard. All adults will purchase a membership in their respective categories with US Ski & Snowboard. The USASA adult membership pricing structure will reflect a significant decrease as USASA offloads the expenses of these requirements. The net cost to adults will be an increase in most cases for those who do not typically buy both memberships. For those that currently buy both, it will be a decrease in out- of-pocket cost. One adult data base for all of snowboarding and freeskiing is more secure and provides easier tracking. US Ski & Snowboard should anticipate an additional 500-700 adult members not previously represented. USASA will now free up some bandwidth to focus on more development projects and sport growth initiatives.

  35. U.S. Ski & Snowboard & USASA Joint Efforts Adult Pricing Comparison 2020-21 +/- Those With Both Memberships +/- USASA Only Member +/- Total Volunteer- $25 Official- Coach- Athlete- Athlete/FIS- $50 $65 $80 $135 $100 $150 $170 $90 ($10) $130 $235 ($75) ($50) ($50) ($50) $50 $100 $50 $30 $85 $25 $--- ($50) $220
